Tracey's Hidden Name Meaning

I found some of these points to be true! I've bolded what I found to be true.

You are Spontanious and Whimsical

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

Fanmail Etc.

I have been looking everywhere for a fanmail address for Tracey, and can't find one anywhere! I really want to write her a letter. A friend of mine gave me her "Address". It's in quotes because it could be, or it's some made-up one. I decided to use google earth to see what it was all about, typed in the address and it showed me this big white apartment building, in the middle of nowhere, looked like the outskirts to me...I know that she lives in LA, but not what google showed me..I mean, she's famous. Why the heck would she be living in an apartment? Even if it was where she lived, I wouldn't care. I wouldn't send her a letter to her personal address. Imagine trying to explain to her how I found her address?? "Dear Tracey Ullman, I am a big fan of yours and I found your address on some website." Lovely...

I'll just try and find a fan letter address, or hope that I can meet her one day.
I don't want to invade on her privacy. That's just wrong.

Prêt-à-Porter (Ready to Wear)

Okay..So I just watched this movie with Tracey and thought it was hilarious! She played Nina Skant, an editor for British Vogue. There was one scene where she is being photographed by another designer, and she is hurrying to get her clothes on, and he keeps poking his head out of the bedroom clicking away, and she's yelling at him, "Don't take any more f***ing photos of me! No! Don't! You Irish Wanker!!" And it was the first time I saw her in her gotchies. She was great in it! I missed it yesterday because I had to go out, but got to watch it again today. It was pretty boring for me, but when Tracey appeared on the screen, I smiled :)

I loved that hat she wore as well. She always makes me laugh.

The Most Amazing Note

Okay. Yesterday was the opening show for my play, and the Director, Moe, gave us each a short note and a chocolate flower(Yum). She told us to break a leg, and the show went really well. When I read the note, I cried because it was so sweet, and she mentioned Tracey in it!! yay!
I played 4 characters, all with a different voice, including Linda Granger's voice for my Agent.
Here is what the note said:

Dear Kate,
Wow! What energy and talent girl!
Thank you for bringing so much to this show and making Tick Tock magic!
I love each and every character you play! Tracey would be very proud of you, as am I!

Have a great show!

Love,
Moe

Wow! isn't that amazing and sweet?? I gave Moe the biggest hug. She's a great person. Always complimenting me. Gotta love her :)

Tracey's SAG Award Win

Tracey won her SAG award at the 5th Annual SAG awards for "Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in Comedy Series" for Tracey Takes On. Here is her speech.

"Wow, bloody heavy huh?
Well, I’m surprised. Thank you so much my fellow thespians. I can’t believe it, I’m thrilled a bit gosh.I just want to thank my lovely husband, Alan, who’s sitting over there, who makes me get out of bed and do this. And HBO because they let me be true and spontaneous and they don’t mess with me – which is what all of us want, isn’t it so? Um, all my lovely cast and crew, the wonderful actors that help me every week. I’m usually my own ensemble love. But Julie Cavner, Michael Tucker, Michael McKeen, Cheech Marin, everybody who helped me. My lovely kids Mabel and Johnny watching this at home, Meryl Streep, my friend in the audience. I won thank God, the kids will be so pleased. Thank you!"

She's right people. Mess with her, and she'll impersonate you....haha!

Come on People! It's a joke

I was browsing some sites and came across this article from CBS news. When I read the comment I laughed.

Tracey Ullman: "Happy Schizophrenic"
New Show Of Brit-Born Comic, Now U.S. Citizen, Is Impersonation-Heavy, Aims At U.S. Culture

(CBS) Tracey Ullman wastes no time poking fun at her adopted country in her new Showtime effort, "Tracey Ullman's State of the Union."The British-born comic and actress, who's been a United States citizen for a year-and-a-half, gives her unique take on life in the U.S., impersonating one celeb after another, including males, in zapping America's celebrity-obsessed, 24-hour news culture.Targets for her barbs include the likes Cameron Diaz, Renée Zellweger, Dina Lohan, Tony Sirico and David Beckham, as well as politicians and pundits such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Arianna Huffington. The show also has a lineup of original characters reflecting a cross-section of American society as Ullman sees it, from an Indian pharmacist, to a homeless woman without health insurance, to a soldier on temporary leave from Iraq.Asked on The Early Show Tuesday by Russ Mitchell how she goes seamlessly and flawlessly from one character to another, Ullman replied, simply, that she's a "happy schizophrenic!"To see the Early Show interview, which includes Ullman impressions of Zellweger, Sirico and even Andy Rooney, click here.Ullman is perhaps best-known in the U.S. for her series, "The Tracey Ullman Show," which aired on Fox from 1987-1990. It earned multiple Emmys, and is credited with spawning "The Simpsons."

Here is the comment:

"For someone who has a schizophrenic family member, it is highly upsetting that a bright and talented individual, on national TV, would use the word "Schizophrenic" so loosely and carelessly. As she makes fun of Americans for their celebrity obsessed culture, she rides on the tails of their fame to make her own money and find stardom herself. Schizophrenia is chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that affects about 1.1 percent of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. For schizophrenics, suicide is the leading cause of death. Upwards of 40% of people that have schizophrenia will attempt suicide at least once. There is nothing "happy" about this and calling herself a "Happy Schizophrenic" tells me she is just as, if not more shallow than the some of the people she ridicules. Her thoughtless words will only deepens society''s misconceptions about mental illnesses like schizophrenia."

Okay then. Obviously this person doesn't know that when Tracey said that, she was JOKING. She did not mean to make fun of people with this disorder AT ALL. At least they called her "Bright and Talented". Can't go wrong there. But seriously people, Can't you take a joke?? Tisk Tisk.. Don't talk about her like that. She'd never do that to you!

Oh..And another thing...She's not shallow!

Her Smile

Her smile is full of joy,
Full of warmth and happiness,
Its contagious
And makes you smile too.

So bright
It can light up a room.

It’s genuine,
And not faked for the camera.
She is real and lovely,
And down to earth.

An expatriate mimic,
A genius,
A Happy Schizophrenic.

They're Twins! At least I think so..

I was looking online today and came across the Actress, Amy Sedaris, who looks alot like Tracey. Don't you agree? They both wear bright lipstick, they have a similar nose, same eye colour..It's uncanny! They could be sisters.

From Tracey Ullman(Who can't draw)

I found this photo over http://www.flickr.com/ and thought that it was so funny and sweet, and proves that Tracey has a sense of humour and can make fun of herself :)

I believe that the finger nails are Linda Granger's. 2 of her fingernails shot up her nose on the set of "Tracey Takes On..." Ouch. That's gotta hurt!

I wish that drawing was for me. Oh well..

Your My Favorite

guess who its about..LOL

Well,
There are people who are good,
And People who are great,
Your better than that girl,
Your the best to date!

Voices come easy to you,
52 characters in 3 weeks!
I can't even come up with 5 let alone 52,
You 'da bomb-biggidy!

You impersonate people,
And I impersonate you,
" Oh how original darling",
Can't I come up with someone new?

But hey,
I'm not a genius right?
Not like you!
Your my shining light.

You've played men and women,
Of all different races,
Not afraid to take risks,
Not afraid to have different faces.

Your impressions are spot on,
Down to a tee!
You've played Renee Zellwegger,
Soon to be Celine.

If I could only meet you,
See you face to face,
I'd be completely speechless,
My heart would probably race.

For now I'll keep on dreaming,
And keep watching a master at work,
Your awesome Tracey Ullman,
And incredible!
That's for sure.

Who is Tracey Ullman??

First things first, I think that Tracey Ullman is an amazing Comedienne, Dancer, Singer, Actress, and Producer. Overall, a great Entertainer. She’s crazy, she’s whacky and she’s a hoot to watch. She’s not afraid to look bad. She’s not afraid to act like a child and let loose. “I don't think I'm mature enough.” That proves it. As a child, she impersonated her family, friends and neighbours. “I used to dress up and impersonate our next-door neighbour, Miss Cox. She wore rubber boots, a wool hat, and her nose always dripped.” Her voices are her fortune. She can do anyone, and can slip effortlessly into any accent or voice. She’s funny, down-to-earth, cheerful and quite lovely. I’ve been watching Tracey’s shows for a year now, and have fallen in love with her. Not literally though...oh who the f*** am I kidding??!! I do love her! I have been collecting her DVD’s and enjoy every one of them. In Tracey Takes On... you’d never know that she was actually British, based on the voices that she comes up with. And another thing, spell her name right.

It's spelled T-R-A-C-E-Y, not T-R-A-C-Y. I understand that it can be spelled both ways, but people write it the first way. Anyways..

Her second season of “State of the Union” will be on TV this April, with a whole new batch of characters, both famous and non-famous. She impersonates all her famous characters flawlessly, and has their characteristics down to a tee. She’s the only one who can do 52 characters in 3 weeks because she calls herself “A Happy Schizophrenic”, but jokingly of course. When her 4th season of “The Tracey Ullman show” was finished, she had done over 100 characters. She is a great inspiration to me because I’m known to do voices and accents as well, and when I watch Tracey, she makes me want to do them more. I have done various youtube videos impersonating her characters from her old and new TV series, and enjoy doing it. One thing I've noticed is her make-up. I always see her wearing bright red lipstick and red nails. It seems to be her trademark, and I like it.

Her smile is very pretty and full of warmth. So is her laugh. She is also good friends with another favorite Actress of mine, Meryl Streep. They were in 2 movies together; Death Becomes Her, and Plenty, but Tracey never ended up in Death Becomes her because her scenes ended up on the cutting room floor...dammit...
I remember when I went shopping with my Mom 6 months back and she was looking at the DVD's and she told me to come see something. She held up the first season of Tracey Takes On... and said "You'd be really interested in this. Tracey Ullman does voices too, and all these different characters. You should get it!" and then I looked at it, uninterested and said "Naah..I don't think I'll get it, I don't think I'd enjoy it." What the F*** was I thinking? Why did I say no??!! oh God. That was so stupid of me! now I love watching her. My Mom should've smacked me across the face, or at least I should've hit myself. Then I got home and searched for Tracey on Youtube, and thought "Oh My God! This woman is a genius! I'm like her! I do different voices and accents!" But I'm not as good as her. So, I ended up getting season 1 and 2 as a Christmas gift! Yay!!

Tracey is a very creative woman, and is not afraid to try new things. She’s been an Asian Donut shop owner, a black airport security guard who was in charge of the body search zone, a gay airline steward, a crazy cab driver named Chic, aka "Chick Magnet", and many others. Some of her characters are:
- Ruby Romaine
- Ms. Noh Nang Ning
- Chic
- Trevor Ayliss
- Shaneesha Turner
- Kay Clark
- Linda Granger
- Rayleen Gibson
The list is endless. These are only from "Tracey Takes on.." mind you..There are tons more from season 3&4, and State of the Union.

In my opinion, she’s crazy! But I love her for it. I’d never say anything negative about her, unlike boors on those discussion boards. Please. Get a life! If this continues, I’ll have to do a youtube video called “Leave Tracey Alone!!” wouldn’t that be funny? “Seriously, I meant it”. Aahh, the famous lines of Tracey as Arianna Huffington. Whenever I’m talking to someone I know, somehow Tracey ends up in the conversation. I can’t help it. It just comes out. I was talking to the guidance counsellor a while back, and mentioned Tracey and she told me “Every time you bring her up you smile, and just thinking about her characters makes you laugh! You really like her eh?” Well YEESSSS! She’s “Blogging Brilliant Dahling”.

I always have her quotes stuck in my head, especially the ones her characters say. When my Parents ask me to do something I’m like “Okkaayy” like Ruby Romaine. Or I sing the made-up song that Linda Granger says. “I’ve kicked Librium and escatrol, Dexedrine and valium…” She’s in my head. I’m doing one of her character voices in my play this month. My director asked me “What would Tracey do?” and I gave the biggest smile. There aren’t enough words to describe this amazing woman. I’m speechless really.

I’ve written a couple poems about her. About a few of her characters, Ruby Romaine and Linda Granger and both will be posted on a site that I visit often, a fan-based blog about all the upcoming news about Tracey.

www.stateoftracey.com

If you’re a fan, you should seriously check it out. It’s a great site. I know the person who made it, and I thank him for it. If this site wasn’t created, I wouldn’t have known all the great stuff I know now.

Tracey, you’re a genius you know. I’m such a big fan of yours. I hope to meet you one day. Keep doing what you do best. I'll quote one of your characters, Shaneesha " You Crazy Girl! You 'da bomb-biggidy!"

Call me obsessed. I don’t care. At least I have the balls to write something like this about someone who inspires me. I’m “Crazy for Tracey”…oh wait, that does sound a little obsessive…whoops.

“I wish I could believe that one person could make a difference.” Well Tracey, you’ve certainly made a difference in my life.

Linda Granger

Linda Granger (I’m still here)

Linda is an Actress,
A lounge singer as well,
She’s a recovering alcoholic,
She’s had work done…
You can tell.

“I’ve kicked Librium and escatrol,
Dexedrine and valium, percodan and percocet,
Secanols, tunials, cocaine, quaaludes, opium,
Peyote and hash.”
She’s recovered from being a sex-addict,
But wasn’t very stable,
When the man came over to her house,
To help her fix her cable.

She has fake acrylic nails,
That are always painted bright,
She could really scratch someone up,
If she were ever in a fight.

“I have all the expressions,
My doctor is a genius”,
Until you tell her that her dog is dead,
Then you can’t even see it.

Her hair is long and brown,
And has many many followers,
“I have such a strong homosexual fan base”,
Including a couple stalkers.

Her dog was eaten by a boa,
When she let him down,
He was a teacup Pomeranian named killer,
Who was never going to be found.

She couldn’t find him anywhere,
And asked Rayleen for help,
“Looks like the boa got ‘em” She said,
“He’s in the Boa’s Mouth.”
All was left was his little red hat,
He was no where to be seen,
“The boa ate my baby!” Linda cried,
And looked a little green.

The camera stopped its rolling,
And wanted this part to be cropped,
“Keep the camera rolling; I don’t want you to stop!”

She’s been married numerous times,
3 or 4 times I think,
All unsuccessful relationships of course,
One day she’ll find her Prince.

She had a baby and gave it up,
And then years later adopted her,
We don’t know who the father is,
Let’s hope it isn’t her manager!

She has written a book,
“I’m Still here: The Linda Granger Story”,
About Personal Misfortune and Surviving Cancer,
And Her Fame and Glory.

“These are all an important part of my struggle”,
“I have a book my dear,
Its available in paperback,
But remember..I’m still here.”

Ruby Romaine

This poem is based on a Tracey Ullman Character from her TV show Tracey Takes On...

Ruby Romaine

Ruby is a Make-Up Artist,
Or “Artiste” as she would say,
“I’m not a star I’m a star maker”,
Her hair is curly and grey.

Ruby is a smoker,
A heavy drinker too,
Who smokes Pall Mall cigarettes,
And wears white sneaker shoes.

Some people may think she’s an alcoholic,
But she’d never say she was,
“It’s my medication” She’d say,
Trying to say it’s for a good cause.

She remembers what LA used to be like,
“Two orange trees and a gate”,
“Now it’s turned into boomshakalaka town”,
Started smoking when she was eight.
Her son Buddy came back from Vietnam,
And now he has shell-shock,
He’s sold his body parts before,
Ruby thinks it’s a load of crock.

Ruby has a hip replacement,
And “Bazoombas to the floor”,
Her neighbours are Hispanic,
And Jehovah’s witnesses come to her door.
Ruby has been arrested once,
For possession of cocaine,
When it was found in her make-up trailer,
“It’s not mine, I swear okay?”

She was kicked off of the roster,
And was out of work,
So she turned to Pepper Kane,
Who ended up being a jerk.
She said she couldn’t work with white people,
That’s not how it went down,
So she turned Ruby away,
Back to Boomshakalaka town.

So Ruby went to Skip’s house,
The man that kicked her off,
She rang the buzzer and walked in,
And gave a heaving cough.
She walked up the staircase,
To Skip’s room,
Where someone sat in his chair,
They were getting a plaster impression,
For a mask; she didn’t care.

They bickered back and forth,
He told Ruby to leave,
He wasn’t going to put her on the roster,
She needed some time to grieve.
“I hope your prostate swells like a balloon!” she said,
“And you get kicked off the set”,
His dad won’t be too happy about this,
And will kick his own son off I bet.

But before Ruby opened the door,
There was a great surprise,
Ruby’s friend walked through the door,
He was still alive!
Wally had awoken from his coma,
And was happy to be back,
Ruby asked him to help her out,
And thought to skip “You’re a dead man Jack”.

Ruby finished telling her story,
And said that she was put back on,
She was glad that she was working again,
And that all this crap was done.
Ruby has done make-up for famous people,
Like Catherine Hepburn and Joan Crawford,
She’s been working for fifty years now,
The oldest person on the roster.

She’s the one who started Linda Granger’s career,
Did the make-up for her show,
But caught Linda sniffing “The fairy dust”
From her make-up kit,
You know.

Linda got really really mad,
And slapped Ruby across the face,
When she tried taking the drugs away from her,
Told Linda it was a waste.

She has never done any drugs,
At least that’s what we know,
But smoking and drinking combined is far far worse,
Then sniffing something up your nose!

This poem is like a book,
It’s going on forever,
But Tracey makes me do it,
I’ll never stop admiring her.
Ever.
